Arquitecto, académico y líder universitario cuyo trabajo articula la práctica arquitectónica, la investigación creativa y el desarrollo institucional desde una perspectiva del Sur Global. Es decano fundador y profesor titular de la Facultad de Creación en la Universidad del Rosario en Bogotá, donde ha diseñado y consolidado un modelo académico interdisciplinario que integra artes, diseño, arquitectura, oficios, saberes artesanales e industrias creativas, posicionándolo como una propuesta educativa singular en el contexto latinoamericano. Bajo su liderazgo, la facultad ha crecido en seis años a más de 1.000 estudiantes, distribuidos en seis programas académicos, y ha desarrollado una red internacional de más de 100 alianzas.
En paralelo a su labor académica, mantiene una práctica arquitectónica activa orientada a proyectos culturales, educativos y procesos de diseño participativo con comunidades, abordando las dimensiones espaciales, sociales y culturales del territorio. Su trabajo integra investigación, pedagogía y creación-investigación, con publicaciones en revistas como Design Studies y proyectos como la película experimental Euritmia, reconocida internacionalmente. Es doctor en Arte y Arquitectura, magíster en Arquitectura (tesis laureada) y cuenta con un MBA en Innovación en las Artes. Su trayectoria ha recibido reconocimiento nacional e internacional, incluyendo el Intercultural Achievement Award (Austria, 2024), premios y menciones en las Bienales Colombiana y Panamericana de Arquitectura, así como distinciones en festivales internacionales de cine y arquitectura, y participa activamente en redes académicas globales como ELIA y Cumulus.

He is the founding dean and full professor of the aculty of Creative Studies at Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, where he has designed and consolidated an interdisciplinary academic framework integrating the arts, design, architecture, crafts, artisanal knowledge, and creative industries, positioning it as a distinctive educational model within the Latin American context. Under his leadership, the faculty has grown over six years to more than 1,000 students across six academic programs and has developed an international network of more than 100 partnerships.
In parallel with his academic work, he maintains an active architectural practice focused on cultural and educational projects and participatory design processes with communities, addressing the spatial, social, and cultural dimensions of territory. His work integrates research, pedagogy, and research-creation, with publications in journals such as Design Studies and projects including the experimental film Euritmia, internationally recognized. He holds a PhD in Art and Architecture, a Master’s degree in Architecture (with a laureated thesis), and an MBA in Arts Innovation. His trajectory has received national and international recognition, including the Intercultural Achievement Award (Austria, 2024), awards and mentions in the Colombian and Pan-American Architecture Biennials, as well as distinctions in international film and architecture festivals, and he actively participates in global academic networks such as European League of Institutes of the Arts and Cumulus Association.
